What "max DD" actually means Max DD = maximum account decline from peak before recovery, expected over many trades. This is NOT per single trade. Example: at 1/4 Kelly, you risk ~8% per trade, but a string of losses could pull your account ~18% from its peak before it recovers. The drawdown will likely happen at some point if you trade enough. Your job is to hold through it without abandoning the system.
